 PROJECTS

Ren Strand Fanø is continuously developing new projects to keep the beaches around Fanø clean and protected.
Upcoming initiatives include community beach clean-up events, educational workshops on marine conservation, and efforts to reduce plastic pollution.
We are committed to making a positive environmental impact and actively involving volunteers in shaping our future activities.

Grab a Bag – Make a Difference

At several beach access points, you’ll find our Havfaldsposer – beach cleanup bags.
Take one with you on your beach walk, fill it with any waste you come across – and leave it clearly visible on the beach when you're done.
You can also place it in or next to the metal mesh cages provided.
We collect the bags and make sure the waste is properly disposed of.
A small effort from you makes a big difference for nature, wildlife – and Fanø’s clean beaches.

We Handle Waste with Care

All collected waste is carefully sorted and processed.
We separate materials to ensure as much as possible can be recycled or reused – and hazardous waste is handled responsibly.
This way, our beach clean-ups also contribute to a more sustainable future.

As part of our efforts, we also participate in local animal rescue, wildlife conservation, and beach cleaning activities.
Our initiatives to reduce plastic pollution focus on raising awareness, organizing cleanup drives, and promoting sustainable alternatives.

Awareness Campaigns

Our awareness campaigns aim to inform and educate the community about the environmental challenges facing the beaches of Fanø Island. Through wildlife conservation initiatives, we strive to protect the diverse marine and coastal species that call this region home. Join us in our endeavors to safeguard the natural habitat and promote responsible tourism.
